Sgt. James Charles Matteson of the 2-2 Scouts, 1st I.D. was killed in action while fighting gallently
from his position in the turret of his HUM-V when he received a direct hit from an enemy's R.P.G..
He was killed in action at 7:12am, Falluja time, November 12th, 2004.
