Step 3. Uploading your pages
1. In order to upload your webpages to our server you need to use an FTP program. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. I recommend using WS_FTP. This program is available on our most recent EZ-Internet cd or can be dowloaded here.
Download WS_FTP
2. After downloading WS_FTP double click on the WS_FTP icon and follow the directions for installing the program.
3. After you install WS_FTP you need to input the settings for uploading to our server. When you open the program a window will appear that looks like the one below. Click on the "New" button and this will clear all of the fields except for "Host Type". Fill in the rest of the fields as you see below and click on the "Apply" button. Now WS_FTP is configured to access your directory. To access your directory click on "OK".
4. The next window that you see is the program and it should look something like the image below. The "Local System" is the window on the left side. This is where you view all of the files on your computer. The "Remote System" is on the right side. This is your directory on our server.
Double click on the folder called "Web", this is where you will upload your files.
5. When you double click on the "Web" folder the program should look like the image below. To upload a file from the "Local System" to the "Remote System" click once on the file that you want to upload and it will be highlighted in blue like the one below. Next click on the arrow that points to the "Remote System". Congratulations, you just uploaded a file to your directory!
